Gizmo Paragraph

Every year we have four distinct seasons, the question is what causes them? The Earth orbits counterclockwise around the sun at a 23.5 degree angle that remains about the same all the time. When Earth is tilted toward the sun, the northern hemishere has summer which starts in June. Our days are longer and the weather is warmer. Then, once Earth is tilted away from the sun, the northern hemishere has winter that starts in December. Days are shorter and colder. In between these two seasons, we experience spring and autumn. In conclusion, the four seasons are caused by the rotation of Earth around the sun.

Perspective

In the book Zoom, by Istvan Banyai, it made you look at perspective, that it might not always be what you first observed. The pictures are at first close up then takes a step back or zooms out to reveal more of that picture. There was a close up of a rooster then it zoomed out to show two kids in a room looking out the window at that rooster. From there, it kept zooming out until another close up picture appeared. Just remember to keep your mind open to all the possibilities before jumping to conclusions.

Sometime in the past, I've seen people that didn't look appealing to me and judged them. I judged them by the way they look, walk, piercings, tattoos, and dressed. The inference I would come up with is that they are uncivilized. To alter my perspective, I might talk to them or observe how they treat others. Don't always "judge a book by its cover" because it might not be what you first observed.

There are many scientists all over the world. Some might be interested in close up data or data from a broader perspective. Scientists that study close up data includes cytologists, microbiologists, and pathologists. Even examining a rock to see what fasinating stories lie within it. Astronomy and oceanography are gathered from a broader perspective. It's important to be open-minded so that you don't misinterpret what's happening.
